Sometimes I think a big mistake was not beating the crap out of some people in elementary school. If I hadn't been such a pacifist, I might have avioded a lot of pain.

I was reading an article the other day that within 15 years it would be possible to build a "space elevator" that would remove the need for as many space shuttle launches - lighter equipment could be hauled up to orbit (up to 100 tonnes) and then dispesned with with shuttle craft that built in zero G would move around earth and moon system much more easily.

I hate to break it to you, but these are the same people who say they will have working transporters by the end of the decade. They are in the market to make money by doing stupid and impractical research on things they know people want but physics say cannot be done.

You need very strong carbon fibres to stop it collapsing under its own weight. It may well be possible eventually but I wouldn't expect it for another 100 years at least (and thats being optimistic)

Heres something I just remembered. Who has gotten up in the morning and got dressed, then gone out. All morning you feel stuffy and hot. Its not till lunch you realise you have your pyjamas on under your clothes.

I'm guilty of that one, but they say it's not good for your health to hold it in.

Made a spam hamburger? (I plead the fifth)

You can call me wierd, but I find nothing wrong with 'Spam Luncheon Meat' Well, actually here in Canada the one we have is called 'Kam' and I like Kam, So if Kam is the same thing as Spam then I'm guilty again.

Want to talk about things that taste bad? Have you ever tasted Caviar? YUK!!! Positively the most revolting thing I have ever tasted. They say "It's an aquired taste". Strange thing about this statment, is that if it taste bad the first time why on earth would someone try it again and again just to 'aquire' the taste? YUK! is YUK! no matter how many times you taste it.

LOL, this thread is turning into one of the wierdest in forum history. I love it!

Cheers!

Ok, so when I was growing up my friends and I had this wonderful, simply wonderful, game we played. Called "SPOONS" it was a card game that involved passing around cards until you got a match and then you grabbed at one of the spoons in the center of the circle of people. Once someone went for a spoon, everyone had to go for them because there was one less spoon then the number of players.

The person who was left without a spoon, got a letter. (first S, then P, Then O, etc...) if some hapless fool ever got all the letters of "SPOON" then they were in big trouble, becuase then everyone ELSE went into the kitchen and, using whatever non-posoinous ingredients they could find, would come back out with a spoonful of some awful mixture that the loser had to eat.

I lost once.

It sucked. Puked my guts out for a LONG time in the bathroom.

Play SPOONS. fun game. You'll love it.
