None taken. Well it won't look exactly like this in starfury. But I agree, the texture map is little cruel to say atleast. And I'm still a beginner 3d modelling but I will improve in the future hopefully.

Normally the star trek meshes that are found in the net have so high polygon count that Lithunwrap can't even open them. And when you open on in max for example the ship is fine looking but it has way too much polygons to put that into the game. But maybe if you could take ships directly from Armada.

EDIT: I checked it. You can take ships directly from Armada and Sovereign only had about 500 polygons so they'll fit nicely into the game. The only problem is that it may be illegal to use the models without permission.

Also I have other ship which is somewhat smoother than the Last one. It's not actually a trek ship and doesn't pretend to be but it has similar engines.

I can box model pretty well, if I have time I think I can help with some modeling... even I'm not that great of a star trek fan, I can squeeze in a few original ST designs of my own, but as for textures you're on your own..

Do not take models directly from Armada

This will draw the attension of Paramount very quickly, Ive seen many mods shut down down by them simply cos of them doing this

I suggest going to http://www.staryards.com/

The person running this site used to come on here himself, and has already said you can take any of these models and convert them, just make sure you have the proper credits a mod read-me

I took few models from there and they have way too many polygons. For example, U.S.S Enterprise-E had over 3000 just in half of the saucer part. The whole model was so complicated that lithunwrap couldn't open it.

That's why I recommend doing the models yourself or ask someone who has done trek models before to do low-polygon Versions.

I can help too I guess. I can make some models. I have almost the entire july free so if I'm home I have time to do models. To show what I can do I made this little ship. Note it doesn't have textures yet.
U.S.S Excalibur

So what do you think about this one? It has about 1000 polygons so it will be about as heavy to render as the Terran starbase.

EDIT: Little update. I started doing the texture map. So far I've only finished engines and I'm now doing the saucer part.
