IRC Troubles.

yeah. that's basically all that happened. zen drops by, sets everyone left to voiced, de-ops sheap, and sets the channel to moderated. this basically means the channel is currently dead, since no one who joins can speak.

unhappily, zen doesn't stay around long enough to be asked what's up. but the irc channel is a central place for a lot of dom2 players at different times, and this action is at the very least perplexing.

the channel used by a number of shrapnel forum participants is #dominions on irc.gamesurge.net.

zen seems to have now unmoderated the channel, but obviously these sorts of actions are highly problematic.

My guess is that Zen isn't doing it intentionally - he seemed to have a set of scripts that automatically did some strange things to the channel on entering, so it might have been an ircbot gone amiss.

no i don't think so. these were unique actions, like deoping sheap, and voicing us, and setting +m

he may well have just been drnka or some such though
