Re: still dont get it .......Rate
I can't get the figures to work either. A homeworld miner I produces 1652 minerals. The relevant values are as follow:
- 4,000 million inhabitants (+50% production according to the game)
- 120% mineral aptitude, minus 5 because of my Berserker culture, making it 115%.
- Happy planet, so +10%
- Planetary value of 118%
- No planetary/system facility improving production.
So it should be 1791 minerals according to the formula, but both the planetary value and the Empire balance screen says 1652.
It doesn't really bother me, but I would like to know what I am missing here.

I didn't look too closely at the formula at first... but, some of those factors should be added together before multiplying. Not everything is multiplied. I don't recall which though.

Re: still dont get it .......Rate
My trusted calculator eventually stumbled on the correct order. The basic formula should be as follow:
(Extraction Facility value) x (planet’s resource type %) + [(empire’s racial %) x (planet’s happiness %) x (population %)] = total mineral resources committed to your empire for that facility.
Planetary values alone multiply with basic production, and all the rest adds together. I do not know what role the special facilities have however.

I think that the robotoids multiply after the racial bonuses are multiplied, and each is separate (system vs. planetary).

Mine doesn't...I just glanced at the calculations.

The correct formula would no be the following (and oes it make any difference?):
(Extraction Facility value) x {(planet’s resource type %) + [(empire’s racial %) x (planet’s happiness %) x (population %)]} = total mineral resources committed to your empire for that facility.

Re: still dont get it .......Rate
*Slaps self* I see your meaning, but my attempt at a formula is very, very wrong. I wrote that Happiness/Population/Racial multiplied in the formula, when they actually add. So the proper formula is as follow:
(Extraction Facility value) x (planet’s resource type %) x [(empire’s racial %) + (planet’s happiness %) + (population %)] = total mineral resources committed to your empire for that facility.
If you hate maths as much as I do, here is the explanation:
1) Multiply your basic extraction value with the planetary value. This will be your basic production for this facility on this planet.
2) Add in the bonuses based on your Empire and your planet. These are population, happiness and racial characteristics.
3) Multiply the result obtained in 1) with the result obtained in 2). This gives the final production of this facility on this planet.
4) According to Fyron, the planetary/system facilities increasing resource output multiply with each other, and multiply with the result in 3).
Thanks Makinus for having made read my formula again! There was indeed quite a problem here.

Re: still dont get it .......Rate
To use Alneyan's example:
800 x 1.18 = 944 (base amount)
944 + (944 x .5) + (944 x .15) + (944 x .1) = 1652
or add the decimals together first:
944 + (944 x .75) = 1652
I'm not sure if Robotoids and the like multiply the 944 or the 1652 but I get a feeling it is the 1652.
