My son, who turned three a month ago, has a computer game he plays. It's called "Jumpstart Kindergarten", and soon after the opening screen, there is a prompt to choose your name from a list. He had put in several gibberish names, mostly strings of repeated characters. I've known for about a week he'd been able to select his name from the list, but just tonight, I had the epiphany: he can read his name!
He then dazzled me with his deftness at navigating the game with a mouse and his grasp of the 'undo' feature. He then asked to see the fireworks. Of course, his definition of 'fireworks' is watching the ships battle in SEIV. So I obliged him. He like it
a lot.
So my nefarious plan is coming to fruition: he will know computers and love strategy games.

Thank God he's got his mother's personality, so he's outgoing and sensible!
I'm sorry if I seem to be bragging. I'm just amazed with my son, and would not give him up for anything in the world. Who says miracles don't happen? (Aww....)
P.S. If you're thinking of having a kid, I'd say go for it. But
one at a time. They seem so much easier that way....
