Re: Looking for a mod...
I looked at P&N but I literally want no planets, except the starting one for a while and I didnt see any components that generated resources.
Size is my friend. Large components = game balance.

Re: Looking for a mod...
You could try out Adamant Mod as a nomad, build some research ships, and abandon your homeworld. You will need to make remote mining ships and mine the plethora of asteroids and planets for resources. The AI is not the best, but it should be fine for such a mode of play.

Re: Looking for a mod...
The items which generate resources in P&N are:
- Boarding parties + ShipYard
- Troops + Pilliaging
- Treaties
More if you are creative.

Re: Looking for a mod...
Thank you. Looks like the Adamant mod is my choice. And not just because minging asteroids doesn't decrease their value.
Thanks for all the input.

Re: Looking for a mod...
Actually, if you go into settings.txt in the data folder, you can set wether mining decreases asteriod value in any mod or stock.

Re: Looking for a mod...
Can you adjust how _much_ remote mining decreases value?

Re: Looking for a mod...
Sadly, no.
In limited resource games, each planet has a maximum amount of resources that can be mined instead of a percent value. Every point of resource you mine decreases this value by one point. This applies to facilities as well (Mineral Miners, for example). Solar resource generation and the arbitrary point generation abilities added in 1.91 are exempt, however.
