Alot of Kailasa units are unarmoured and have no shields meaning you can use even the "useless" slingers to take out armies of monkeys. If your going build troops, never build anything with no shields or low protection since Kailasa have very very cheap ranged units and will slaughter you if your not prepared. Spells like blade wind i found are best combat spells to use againist them too since its just like another volley of missiles. So far i cant find any good summons to use since theres only like drakes to use cuz of the research limit.

Both Arcoscephale and Marverni, which i have played so far have good enough armoured shielded troops.

I've been playing with a F9 dragon. The blessable units with spears are pretty good, they have decent protection compared to other troops, and the extra attack can be very handy (and obviously 6AP damage is great).Quote:

Well see how things go from there

 | Which nation are you playing? If you are playing Agartha, all your units are amphibious and can enter the water. I'm not sure which one would be the sacred spear-wielding unit, though.
If you are playing Kailasa, you should have Water/Nature combination and be able to summon at least some creatures that can go underwater. |

Either Ancient One (spear) or then Seal Guardian (Obsidian Glaive).

Combine him with 6 or 7 basic wind riders, hold and attack rear and you can really tear things up.

 | Yep, it's working perfectly, I just did the same in my first game with them.
PS. I've missed 1 playable nation from the demo...Ermor!

				 Re: Demo Strategies
Briefly... My rather just for fun strategy is to take Kailasa - monkeys kick ***! As a pretender I take Phoenix, 4F 4A 2N, Dominion set maximum for Order and Magic, Sloth: 2, of course heat - as monkey people like when it's warm.
Purpose: Massing Atavi Archers (200-300, they are cheap and good like vodka in Poland , Yakshas are casting Destruction, Phoenix responsible for casting Wind Guide and Flaming Arrows (if of course there is time for research). Yakshas which hit 2G will cast Swarm. All spells needed are in Alteration school... except of Flaming Arrows, but this is just an addition for the tougher ones
If opponent goes flyers, only option is to cast Rain, Yakashinis can do. Worth trying, as funny view when 300 flamin arrows in the air fall at knights with no armour
Waiting for the full version... |
