in the works: Giant Monsters
I am working on a mod to make a bunch of level 8 enchantment spells called "create avatar" dual pathed, expensive, and hard to cast.
the avatars it creates represent obscure or intangible forces of nature, and take the forms of giant monster demigods. (think demon lord big)
they are unique and incredibly powerful.
this is the list so far:
Avatar of the Wild
Avatar of Chaos
Avatar of Dreams
Avatar of Corruption
here is a preview of the avatar of the wild vs. The avatar of chaos:
Click
Dream will be a large woman dressed in light and mist. I kind of want to make corruption godzilla-like dragon (a radiation monster.)
basically I want to get input on what other giant monster folks might want to play with.

Re: in the works: Giant Monsters
Mothra - Avatar of Defiance - is a flying trampler with a poison cloud. A5N4. It's a pity that you can't throw in a pair of fairy twins for good measure (but you probably will be able to in a patch or two, the internal code would definitely support it.)
For that matter, if the X%/turn chance of turning into another monster that the amulet of lycanthropy gives is ever available as a creature power, you could have baby mothras that grow up at some point.
Anyhoo, King Gidra cannot, unfortunately, have three head slots . But he can have three poison bite attacks (the poison bite of the hydra), large amounts of earth and astral, AND three lightning bolt attacks, and he can be Avatar of Void.
The Avatar of Justice cannot be denied - he is Gamera! A3W3F5, and he's got a protection north of 30. Copystats on an abyssian to make him stronger in the heat.

Re: in the works: Giant Monsters
You could put in a Avatar of Vengeance, you could give it Blood Vengeance but still physically strong, I haven't got much of idea what it could look like, but maybe you got an idea from that anyway.

Re: in the works: Giant Monsters
I'd have to copystat either an erinya or a doom horror to get blood vengeance and uniqueness.
I don't think the horrors attacks are bonus, (as snake hair is) so I can certainly go with that.

Some horror attacks are bonus. If you use the Unit DB, the Weapons pages indicate which weapons are bonus.

Re: in the works: Giant Monsters
Or if you can't and want to do something with blood vengeance, there is an artifact that grants +0 Blood Vengeance, could give them that.
I'm somewhat unsure of what you can do with making your own artifacts though you also may be able to make your own unique items to go with the unique units to grant them certain abilities if you can't add them any other way.

Re: in the works: Giant Monsters
I like this idea, can't wait to see how it develops
Could go all creature double feature - big ape, big woman, big spider, the Thing, etc.
Also, maybe uniques of standards, mummy, vamp, werewolf, ghost "lords of.."

Re: in the works: Giant Monsters
Are these going to stomp around randomly like the Eater of the Dead does? I wouldnt mind seeing more of those in my large games.

Re: in the works: Giant Monsters
Well, you could try copying the stats on the advanced form of the Easter of the Dead, but I'm not sure if that would actually work.
As a remote-summon it might be pretty cool - sned one of these bad boys to rampage over there.
