Any ideas on when a public patch will come out? Some of these latest changes have caused puddles of drool to appear around my computer.

I'm not sure. There hasn't been any indication that this will be the one that gets made into the public patch. However, I can't imagine that MM will go beyond v1.55, so it can't be too much longer to wait.
