Re: New Cold War 2020 mod version available!
cluster bomb units have a fixed area of effect, and represent a standard sized aircraft container or MLRS rockets. For itty-bitty ones, you could make a "2xWeapon" or whatever, if needed I suppose, and for really big ones, assign more units?.
Cheers

Re: New Cold War 2020 mod version available!
hi thanks for this GREAT mod...i have much fun!
two things bother me:
-nato sam's are far to weak (esp. when compared to SU-sam's)
-is there a way to increase effectivness of anti-atgm on tanks? something like a far advanced shtora or trophy-system?
and plz consider to make UK and china next ;P

Re: New Cold War 2020 mod version available!
Found this in JANES:
Improved Crusader
Prior to the anticipated cutback in Crusader procurement and the anticipated restructuring of the whole programme, it was stated that a number of improvements were already under consideration to enable the system to become the M2001A1/M2002A1.
These included a new advanced power pack, active armour protection, possible electrothermal chemical cannon, use of more advanced materials in the hull and turret, enhanced command and control, communications and intelligence and other improved survivability measures.
A notional M2001A2/M2002A2 upgrade package could have included a new crew cockpit, real-time cannon operating system, new composite armour, simulation-based acquisition processes, real-time electronics, robotics, hit/detection avoidance, prognostics/diagnostics and a new suspension system.

"Uh, laser cannon?"
Nope, another weapon type.

Ah, its propulsion, not the weapon itself.

And this is verging on where my science knowledge and understanding is no longer going to help me hehe.

Re: New Cold War 2020 mod version available!
Question:
Is Crusader in CWC2020 the 48 ton "Castrated" version, or the 60 ton full up version?
I found a list of the changes made between the 60 and 48 ton version:
Vehicle narrowed by 6 inches in the middle. This saved 2 tons.
One Road Wheel Removed - Shortened vehicle and saved 1.5 tons
Armor Protection Against DPICM bomblets was removed from the base vehicle and replaced with bolt on additional armor; this saved 3 tons.
A Titanitium Gun Cradle was adapted
Apparently they changed the powerplant too.
But most problematic was the ammunition load:
*60 rounds to 48
*260 propellant charges to 208
