Re: Galactic War
I might be interested if i had any idea what this was.....
And a little promo for my still prototype scenario idea. I will make it using gold or standard depending on a survey yet to be created. It will be a cold war type game, the first one will be using normal tech and such and just have an interesting starting point. It woudl probably be in a small galaxy cause all i want is a chance to get some practice at scen making.
The second one would have a modded tech tree to represent a focused period of time (smaller value increases at high research costs) and woudl better reflect the cold war atmosphere i woudl try to create. I woudl also try to host it on PBW and if the guy from Legacy of Ancients would ever get back to me on how he plans on adding special DM type events that he woudl control i coudl do all sorts of cool intel ops that are beyond the hard coded options.
Very very prototypish now. but anyway just wondering whats up wiht this GM thing?

Re: Galactic War
GW is a mod that converts the scale of se4.It turns the map into the universe and systems to galaxies.I need an idea for the size in KT of a fleet. Also i need to know what planets should be,i think maybe about a group of 1000 stars, also they would need a size

Re: Galactic War
In regards to sizes, probably the best way would be to experiment starting with the smallest in relation to the game, working up towards the largest and seeing what works the best, this is probably the best way, I know its time consuming but its probably the most effective...
PS. Your entitled to one free Pepsi at the Cantina, but don't order a pizza if the Gryphin is around.....

Re: Galactic War
okay lol. Also again what should planets represent for realisim obviously a cluster of stars but how many?Maybe make each planet equel to the size of an SE4 map and put one in each and every sector of each galaxy that way its realisitic and can be used for large wars in my rp community as well as hadrians because i think the Neoverse had a scale similer to this.

Re: Galactic War
For sizes you could start with tiny towards the outside of the sector and work your way up to huge towards the center to represent the increasing density of the galaxy. You could even have something ring or sphere world-sized near the center spaces. I think you would want a "planet" in each and every space, that is if SE4 can handle that.
Also, most galaxies have super-massive black holes in their center. Are you going to represent this in some way? As an idea you could put the warp points there.
