To be more accurate, it would be "Le grand abattoir", or better yet (IMHO) "L'Abattoir". You could perhaps justify using "Le grand Abattoir" as stylistic effect, but that would be strange.
French uses far less capital letters than english

To explain the difference in usage :
- a really big and famous slaughterhouse could be designated by "Le grand abattoir" (or even just "L'abattoir")
- a legendary slaughterhouse could be designated by "L'Abattoir".
