Question Avoiding domkills?

H3 priests can only generate +6 dominion no matter what. No matter how many you have that's a max of 16 candles per province. If he's got enough territory he can overwhelm this, period.

So how many priests preaching in a zero dominion province would it take to overcome 6 temple checks landing there? (Your temple offsets his, assuming equal provinces) Probably a bundle... significantly more than 6, I imagine.

In a certain other forum, frequented by mad / bad / crazy people obsessed with modding Dom3, there is a very extensive article in the Lords of War section titled "Domkill : The Power of Faith" which (to my limited knowledge) seems to do a very good job of picking apart the mechanics of dominion, executing a dom kill, and trying not to be dom killed. I'd suggest its worth a look.
