Be easier to try using it & see the game is not cut & dried.
As new changes only take effect out to 300m its probably going to get a slight increase if the die roll is right so it MIGHT effect armour of 5 or 6 at 100m but don't bank on it.
1500m is still the same normally good vs armour 1 sometimes armour 2
