Spoo, good to hear from you.
Yep, I have always thought the Crystalline weapons were vastly underpowered as opposed to say the Organic ones. This is a partial 'correction' IMO. I am working on mounts for all the racial techs, crystalline were just the easiest to come up with in the way of ideas.
Other possibilities:
Organic Armor mount, (structure increase)
Organic Weapon Mounts (damage/to hit increase due to 'Genetic Alteration').
Crystalline Engine Mount (or organic, to simulate solar power or a geneticly altered creatures innate superiority).
Psychic Weapon Mounts (expanded, different levels for 'stronger/weaker' telepaths in terms of damage/to hit ability)
Religious Mounts ('Armor of Faith',...still thinking  )
Basicly I am just playing around right now to get the right mix of ideas and balancing them out so as one race/tech is not too powerful (just wish we could affect armor abilites like Regeneration or Emmissiveness {is that even a word??  }) Eventually it will be as Geo stated it once, a huge incredibly complex CompEnhancement.txt file in which all things are possible (paraphrased)

Your mount mode is working well on v1.78,no errors, played 3 games with it. Used it in TDM mode  .Im really looking forward for your teck mode to work with this too. A suggestion, on vechicle size, there was a mode I think ( d mode),to have special ships to have internal shield regeneration & combat sensers %, How about this?.

You could go with:
Shield of Faith - enhanced shields
Breastplate of Righteousness - enhanced armor
Sword of the Spirit - enhanced PD (Roman short sword tended to be used defensively) or just improved weapon mount
Helmet of Salvation - improved ECM?
Belt of Truth - improved long-range scanners?
Boots of Peace - reduced supply consumption or improved speed?
Additionally:
Fruit of the Spirit - improved solar collection or improved supply storage?
Just some thoughts, don't know if they are all possible.

Or how about...
Fruit of the Loom: Giant tighty-whities to be used as solar sails or for scooping up up resources...or simply adding a combat bonus by raising ship crew's self-esteem (due to pride in the gigantic Y-fronts with which their ships are swathed).

Noticed a few bugs...
Shield mounts can only be applied to regular shields, not phased shields - did you intend this? (Does shield generation modifier not work for phased shields or something?)
All of the Crystalline shield mounts have the same two-letter code.
Not really a bug, but some of your Short Names are longer than the Long Names!
