Ok, I get that now.

How about another question...what's the point?

To phrase it better, will there be specific goals for the characters, or will the story be made up as he goes along? What sort of choices will be presented for a character?

For instance...reading the rules, I saw a lot of information on ship combat, movement, warp nodes, and the like, but how does that affect my Sports Hero? Or my Assassin? I'm trying to figure out how it all fits together. Thanks!
