Re: APC Development and related topics.
Pat
There are some here, but it does not appear to be as extensive a collection as found in the past
https://drawingdatabase.com/category/vehicles/military/
That site does not have a Borsuk but one can be found
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borsuk...suk_3-view.svg
And that blueprint is "good enough" to produce a viable game Icon from......but I already have one "good enough"

It should with 27 years experience BUT that was done before all of the annoying nasty slip / fall / concussion stuff occurred and I have not yet attempted a new Icon from scratch so I have NO IDEA how a new one would go
It is MAYBE a bit too wide but at that scale one pixel can change too wide to too narrow and also that is at 200% so twice the size it will be in the game
EDIT: It is "close enough"
The width to scale works out to 22 pixels, which is what it should be
Actual Width: 3.4 meters (11 ft 2 in) ( 22 pixels )
The length is "good enough" as well but its 50 pixels
and should be 49
Actual Length: 7.6 meters (24 ft 11 in) = (49 pixels) but that may be because I used dimensions from a different source
But save any cheering for a new one

Re: APC Development and related topics.
Iraqi War era Bradley ODAS rated better by Russians than their BMP-3. Short but informative.

Re: APC Development and related topics.
I'm hoping not to regret this but as some know how I work that I make recommendations based on the data but also take into consideration factors of what's going on around a country " Sphere of Influence" and basically Europe is as close to being on a " War Footing" now not seen since the Cold War.
I also every week on CSPAN watch the " Prime Ministers Questions" this "exercise" is also driving my thinking at the moment.
Don I would think at this point will be happy with the following but, he knows well I don't make these decisions lightly at all.
I've tracked this ever since a program called FRES SV was started (Which also recommended the BOXER as well which the UK will be procuring by games end.)
Let's look at the numbers as they currently stand first this includes all 6 variants. And remember AJAX is the Program name.
As of January, this year JANES reported there were 50 total units for IOC that the Army has.
https://www.janes.com/osint-insights...by-end-of-2025
The next ref. dated 6 April is now showing the Army has now 91 units for IOC. That's plus 41 units of all types in 3 months with priority I'm given to AJAX and ARES.
https://questions-statements.parliam...5-03-17/hl5829
https://www.armyrecognition.com/news...o-british-army
So, by Oct. this year another 80/85 units should be in the Armies hands.
So...
GREAT BRITAIN (GB)/CHANGE/AJAX/UNIT 602/START/OCT 2025/VICE/JAN 2025/TI/GSR 55 OR 60/VICE/45/FOC 40/VICE/35/STEEL/INCREASE BY +10 - +15% MAX/HEAT/INCREASE BY +10 - +15% MAX. // The AJAX program OVERALL is at least 5-6 years or more behind schedule for FIELDING. I've well documented all this for years now to include the original FRES SV Program. However, GB was watching the world and realized they needed to improve the combat effectiveness of AJAX in general as submitted above. A new Applique add-on armor was developed with protection extended to HEAT as well. I know it's already been covered within this Thread. This writeup applies to ARES as well. I thought but not sure that they both might now have APS OR will soon get it.
GREAT BRITAIN (GB)/CHANGE/ARES/UNITS 908-910/START/OCT 2025/VICE/FEB 2023/TI/GSR 40/VICE/VISION 30/WEAPONS/RWS OPTIONS BELOW FROM REFS/FOC & STABILZER/YOUR CALL/STEEL/INCREASE BY +10 - +15% MAX/HEAT/INCREASE BY +10 - +15% MAX. //WEAPONS 1. "...Kongsberg Protector Remote Weapon Station armed with a 12.7mm machine gun. The turret features a Detached Line of Sight (DLOS) that allows the gunner to maintain focus on the target, regardless of the ballistic solution for the weapon/ammunition in use. The turret also houses a thermal imager with a dual field of view and a color daylight camera that provides a wide field of view up to 45 degrees during observation, and more than 30 times optical magnified close-up view of the target area during identification and engagement of a long-distance target."
https://www.armyrecognition.com/news...aissance-units
WEAPON 2. "The Ares is also equipped with a remote-controlled 7.62 mm machine gun, offering a defensive capability against various ground and air threats."
https://www.armyrecognition.com/news...united-kingdom
IMPORTANT REMINDER:
ARES initially escaped any earlier testing as the focus was on AJAX. However, the multiple issues of AJAX the attention shifted to ARES and was discovered to be suffering from many of the same problems minus the weapons system of AJAX. Also, WELL COVERED.
I HOPE LATER IN THE MORNING "SOMEONE" DOESN'T ASK "WHAT TIME DID YOU COME TO BED?"
If so that " SONIC BOOM" you just heard was NOT from a jet fighter flying directly over your house but me being LAUNCHED to the ISS!! & !!
Regard's,
Pat

Pat--------- Make this make sense please
STEEL/GROTIUS +10/+15% MAX/HEAT/GROTIUS +10/+15%. //[/B
I am having trouble figuring out WTF "GROTIUS" is..... I KNOW FOR CERTAIN it's not ...
"Hugo Grotius also known as Hugo de Groot or Huig de Groot was a Dutch humanist, diplomat, lawyer, theologian, jurist, statesman, poet and playwright." AND THAT IS ALL THAT APPEARS WHEN "GROTIUS" is GOOGLED
