The Battlemoons are supposed to be dead slow. It would be pretty silly to have planet-sized bases zipping around, wouldn't it

The Battlemoons are useful for siege warfare, since they're so powerful, and have extra-range mounts. They are next to useless for interception/defense, which is what Battlecruisers and Dreadnoughts are for.

Mixed fleets, ArchAngel. Different ships for different purposes.

Besides, with a Battlemoon, you can just include a warppoint opener/closer combo, and overall, they'll be able to keep up with the rest of your fleet.
