I suggest this just because "Earth" in the most technical sense was to produce answers, not to supply a place for people to live.
I'd think you'd need to acquire trans-dimensionality before you build either though, because first you need to come in contact with Mice.

Earth was built by the Magreathareans (again sp?) using the blueprints made by Deep thought. And Humans were part of the program, but it got messed up by some aliens.

So that should be an event: Your computer has been messed up by people that can do poetry
