I think the elemental royalty summons have 0 encumbrance. Monolith Armor on one of them would ignore encumbrance penalties in melee while still applying the regeneration bonus.

Putting it on a King of Elemental Earth would probably be the best, because they have the most hit points and can Summon Earthpower for some reinvigoration to offset any spellcasting fatigue.

However, a Queen of Elemental Air would not have to worry about the AP penalty, as they have flying.

Except that the Earth Kings can already self-buff protection, so they don't benefit as much from the armor. They're usually better off with something that gives special abilities, but maybe not so much protection.
