Might as well admit it. The MM website says that SE4 will tell you when fleets have completed their orders and are waiting for you. I guess that means that the NEXT FLEET button will stop at an idle fleet, skipping those with orders, on sentry, being repaired, etc.
Problem is, that's kinda annoying to setup (I know it could be saved in empire). The big problem is that when I'm cycleing through the fleets, it seems to skip some. It takes several cycles through to find all ships that are idle and I just get annoyed.
Do you have it set to "only stop at each sector once"? In that case, if you have multiple ships/fleets in a single sector the "next ship/fleet" button would only show you one of the ships/fleets. My experience is that the "next fleet" button is too thorough - it stops at any fleet where at least one ship still has movement points left, even when the fleet has orders already. Of course, that's in turn-based/hotseat mode, sim-move may be different...

I've tried it both ways -- when I have the stop at each sector one I click to see all fleets -- if I remember, that is.
That's nice and circular -- remind me to remind myself not to forget to ...
