A simple Idea for Dom 3 (I think)
Maybe you can already mod this in to Dom II, but it would be a nice standard feature for dominions, in the start-up screen. A tech limit.
I noticed that, in playing the demo of Dom I (for the no-turn limit, the turn limit isn't that bad in the Dom II demo, but the fact it exists puts quite some pressure on you). In that game, fast research + swarms of mages were good, but there were no "SC's" because you jsut couldn't get the spells/items for it (though you could get decent thugs, as I understand the terms). Suffice it to say, it plays very differently.
So I was thinking as I read about what everyone thought about how SC/mage/gem based the end-game was, some people might not like it, and so a research limit might be an interesting feature. And maybe, if it could also be done, a research bonus for the mage-lovers. I think I would like it.
