Air Command 3.0 Documentation
Ok, this is how it is. I recieved an email but a day ago from someone who wanted to know how to play AC3. But instead of sending a response to him directly, I would like to share with everyone who visits this forum (admitedly not many, but...). In other words, I want to create a Online copy of the manual right here in the forum. Basically because it cannot be found anywhere else for the demo Users - at least, from what I can tell. The demo help does do an OK job of getting people started but it doesn't answer many questions at all. In fact, it raises many more. I would be willing to do this, but I am not sure if I am allowed to reproduce the manual. In the manual it clearly states that I am not allowed to reproduce it. So... (Drunkard getting on his knees.) PLEASE JOE, CAN I PLEASE POST IT? IT WILL ONLY HELP PEOPLE OUT. Or is there some reason Joe has not done this already? Maybe some sort of abstract copy protection? But I still don't understand why there wasn't an Online manual on the CD. Just some thoughts...
Or, if someone owns a scanner maybe they could scan the whole thing using text recognition software? Anyone out there have one and willing? Otherwise I'll just type it in by hand. :/

Re: Air Command 3.0 Documentation
I don't mind a FAQ being posted (it should go in the mod/scenario forum) but the manual is out of the question. The reason is because the one thing that keeps pirates honest is a printed manual. If we put the manual Online then the pirates will have the whole game for free.
And yes AC3 has already been pirated.

Ah phooey. OK, I'll put together a mini FAQ in the mod section.

Re: Air Command 3.0 Documentation
I have the demo, I have no idea how to land the planes. I keep directing them to the appropriate airport but then get a yellow circle no matter what hight they are at..where can I find this documentation. I like this game but will not buy it if I cannot play it.

Re: Air Command 3.0 Documentation
This is the most confusing aspect for new players. The easiest way is to turn on the grid. The plane flies from dot to dot. The goal is to line the plane up so that it enters the "funnel" end of the runway, completely lined up with the runway. If you do this, and your plane is at 1000 feet, the plane will automatically land. You cannot simply auto-direct the plane to the airport.

Re: Air Command 3.0 Documentation
The FAQ is ready...I just posted it but something seems to have gone wrong with the board...or something...or my computer...it seems that my Posts are not registering completly with my computer for x reason...when I go to edit them, the Posts reflect the changes I made, but the main page does not...hmmm...ahh never mind... I rebooted and it works now...
