Default Need help with Mod

Since Aaron allowed some modding in the demo, I thought I try my hand w/ it first. Now I have been able to change the starting ship (now a fighter), the slots, and components. Yet, my new light weapon slot will not fire. Is there any other file I need to mod besides the Main_StartingPlayerShips and Main_ComponentConfigurationSlotsPlayer?

You did assign the new weapon slot to an existing hardpoint, right? All the 3d models have a set of hardpoints in them, that determine where a weapon animates from (and its maximum arc). If you set it to a hardpoint that doesn't exist, the weapon won't fire.

So my fighter with two light weapons must have the same HARDPOINT? (YES! I changed the second weapon to the same HARDPOINT. They both fired from the same HARDPOINT at the same time.) Can these existing HARDPOINTS be changed?

Yes, but you have to edit the SpaceObjects_XFiles.txt file, which I'm not sure the demo will let you do.
