DEMO limitations?
Out of curiosity does anyone have a list of the DEMO’s limitations?
I can see that certain civilizations are not playable but is there unit type, magic research, max number of playable turns, or any other kind of limitations. It would be nice to see a full listing.
BTW- Great job with the interface and new graphics. Dom I was a gem in the rough and you needed to be committed to unlocking the brilliance of the game design. Dom II I have no doubt will open the door for a much broader base of fans.

Re: DEMO limitations?
Turn limit:40 turns
You can only research up to lv 4
You can only play Abysia, Pythium, Ulm, C'tis, Arcoscephale, Jotunheim and Machaka in the demo.
AI can be any of the nations.
I think thats it.

Actually I had already tested that. Its not true. (yeah I know what you meant)
I was testing whether or not a notepad file would still work for the MAP since the files all seem to have the unix return thing going on which forced me to use wordpad then resave it as a DOS text file. So I made my own tga/map just to test things.

Re: DEMO limitations?
You can use any map usable under dom 2. The other maps were not included in order to make the demo a little smaller, since the new maps are considerably larger (bytewise) than the old ones.

This is probably good - the 70 MB download was quite large enough.

Re: DEMO limitations?
I have another question that is related with the demo limitations.
Can we start a PBEM multiplayer game with the demo & then continue playing the same game later (say turn 35) with the FULL Version without any of the demo limitations?
I have preordered the FULL Version & I was wondering if we could start a PBEM game **NOW**!!!
TIA

Re: DEMO limitations?
No problem changing into the full Version when you get it.
