effects of ai difficulty settings ?
i just always want to know this with every game i play
what are the special benefits the ai gets at difficult / impossible settings ?
plz list them all if possible
do they simply get a multiplier on income , research and so on like difficult x2 and impossible x3 or are there other benefits too ?
and on what do they get the multipliers ?
do they perhaps get additional points in pretender design too or can build more than 1 capital only leader per turn ?
thnx for the info

Re: effects of ai difficulty settings ?
The difficulty setting only affects the amount of points the AI gets at pretender creation.

really ? how much additional points do they get ?
so the advantage all in all isn't so big i suppose
it can take order productivity growth luck magic all +3 then so it is a bit like additional income but all in all not so big .
in aow 2 sm the ai got on highest setting +250 or +300% income and exp x 5 or so .
i am really surprised since i expected a bigger advantage for the ai

Re: effects of ai difficulty settings ?
The game is built around pbem multiplay. The ai didnt really get much attention except as a way to test things quickly. Its not TOO bad but definetly not a great ai.
Normal setting gives it the same points for creating that you do. Easy gives it less and hard gives it extra points to use for god magic, scales, castle, dominions strength. Other than that it can be kindof stupid. It does alot of things that makes you THINK it has secret info or hidden plans but later you find out it was mostly random shot-in-the-dark or just moving around alot.
By the way, the biggest "the AI is too hard" thing is people starting the game with low independents. If things seem too rough at first then turn indepts higher (it tends to hurt the ai more than it does you), and try leaving Ermor and the water nations off of early games.

Re: effects of ai difficulty settings ?
Are the developers intending to work on the AI? seems a shame that it isn't that strong.

Re: effects of ai difficulty settings ?
I noticed that on Impossible, the AI tends to spellcast alot more than pump up an army devoid of magic (like on easy, kinda) Hard seems to be the level. I don't know if its just me, or something, but the easy AI tends to choose the stupidest things available. IE: Death level 7 while playing Marignon normal, 3 sloth, 3 cold, 3 growth, -3 luck, 3 drain... and a wizard's tower to top it off!
