Re: Updated Modding Manual available
The new modding manual is much better on the eyes than the old one. But looks like the weapon and armor appendices were removed, leaving just the very limited example lists. Is there a reason for this? Because now modders will be required to use other documentation (which is fortunately available!) if they want the special weapons and armor.

Re: Updated Modding Manual available
The previous modding manual was maintained by Psitticine, a Shrapnel beta tester and editor of Dominions' manual and descriptions. He is missing in action, so I updated the old manual with the new (2.13) info so we have something while we're awaiting his return.

Re: Updated Modding Manual available
Well, I've compiled a list of all weapons and armor that it's possible to dig up from the game, based off of the list in the Modding Projects sticky thread.
So far I've got the numbers and statistics for everything, except the bonuses against shields and missiles are missing for flail type weapons and shields respectively. I don't have the numbers for how much damage the weak, strong and death poisons and other effects with damage rating of "Special" do, but those are listed as "damage: spc".
The whole shebang is in Excel spreadsheet format, and if you want just the names and weapon/armor numbers, just copy paste the first two columns of the respective sheets into a text file and work from there to put them in PDF.
I just sent the Excel file to the Illwinter info email address, so you can pick that up from there. I'll also update the modding thread file so it will contain the latest and most complete Version.

Re: Updated Modding Manual available
That might be best anyway. All pros and cons. It would be easier for Illwinter to maintain the manual itself, and let the Users continue to maintain the charts and reference lists.

I would say thanks...but we never know where that might lead.
