Re: WinSPMBT crashes while buying units (OS WinXP)
Confirmed as an XP only problem.
Works fine on the W98 rig, crash on the XP test rig.
Cheers

I tried various combinations of unit buys and ended up with two crashes ( now three... woops.. now four) in WinME running windowed. It does seem to be tied to units straddling pages. It also appears to only happen if you still have the formation you were buying open. The times I have exited back to the main buy menu, then deleted a unit on the last page ( even a "straddler") it does not seem to crash. If anyone can confirm this it may help Andy sort out where the problem is exactly

Re: WinSPMBT crashes while buying units (OS WinXP)
Ok, after lots of tries I was able to reproduce the error on W2k, windowed mode, too.
But there's a little detail with it that I'm missing with all the previous descriptions:
Sometimes, and I can't pin it down to a special setup of buying/deleting other than having the unit overview open, the "previous" button does not work after I have deleted the last formation on the second or third page. The page is empty, I defintily hit the "previous" 'button', but nothing happend.
If I close the unit overview, the list jumps to the first page.
If I hit "previous" a second time with unit overview open, the game exits.

I have noticed a similar bug, also under XP. Mainly when deleting units from the buy menu, the whole remaining unit list disappears from the menu.
After clicking back from the unit selection menu, in fullscreen mode, the game shuts down, gives a Windows error message (have to check again) and returns to desktop in game resolution.
In windowed mode, the game freezes, after one click outside the game window the whole OS freezes and I'm up for manual reboot...
Give further data when I can collect some.
