AH-56 Cheyenne Icon
Hi,
I just finished an AH-56 Cheyenne Icon and have posted it here as *.bmp for download. It should be matched with a 4 bladed rotor in your *.shp files. I'll eventually be posting a *.shp & OOB with the AH-56 as well as some other "experimental" '70s era vehicles, to include the XM723 IFV, XM800T, and MBT-70.
Let me know what you all think!
Thanks!

Re: AH-56 Cheyenne Icon
Hi,
I've added a *.bmp for the rotor as well. It's a slightly modified stock 4 blade rotor.

Re: AH-56 Cheyenne Icon
I down loaded you AH-56 and got it in the OOB. Very cool. Can hardly wait for the MBT-70. Got it in the OOb as well. Just need the shp for it. Got an eta? Ha ah. Once again, great work.

SGTGunn have you seen this thread?
http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...b=5&o=&fpart=1
I was thinking about doing this after I saw it, but now I feel like I see about 3 people working the "Failed Programs" OOB heh. Any way we could see a working list of what you've got cooked up and would you be willing to take suggestions?

Re: AH-56 Cheyenne Icon
Sure...
Sorry I took so long to respond, I've been away for my National Guard Annual Training.
I've made SHP's and OOB for:
MBT-70
MBT-70 w/mine plow
AH-56 Cheyenne
M723A1 IFV (the precursor to the Bradley)
M800A1 CFV (killed when the Bradley project combined the IFV & CFV requirements)
M8 Buford AGS
I've also fooled areound with some "what ifs" such as the Gavin and Ridgeway Airborne IFV's, and a pedestal turret M1 Abrams variant from the book "Air-Mech-Strike: Asymmetric Maneuver Warfare for the 21st Century".
Some purely imaginative stuff like a Isreali tyle heavy IFV based on the M1 hull and some "Hammer's Slammers" hovertank SHPs.
I'll organize everything into a download this week, and post it if anyone's interested.
I haven't done any new LBMs though, as I haven't figured out how to create them yet.

Re: AH-56 Cheyenne Icon
Oh,
And the post WW2 M44 APC too (the one that was the size of an RV!).

Re: AH-56 Cheyenne Icon
Wow.
Sounds great. Can hardly wait for it.
As for LBMs. You just need a program that can convert picture files into LBMs and your off. Also, when you do the LBMs you have to remember to load the color pallet in the WinMBT programe or it's all mest up. AS a matter of fact, I did some LBMs for the MBT-70 and AH-56 that you can download in the TO and E section.
