Editing WAD file

I read in one post where someone edited the WAD file to one of the harder scenarios. Can anyone give guidelines on how to do this?

Unfortunately, editing the WAD file is not supported, and if I recall how the code works, won't work if it's edited at all (due to a checksum mechanism.)

What specifically are you looking for? To pass a specific mission?

That said, if you're just trying to pass a specific mission, there are easier ways....

thanks for the help. I wanted to do this for 2 reasons. First, I got thru the campaign and wanted to do more than just skirmishes, especially combine different racial units in a mod. Second, I defeated the final mission once, but cannot remember exactly how, and was interested in tackling it with a different racial mix than Arcatta and Afflicted.

Awesome, well then I hope those Mod instructions help. Changing the races available in a given mission should be pretty easy.
