Re: Ostfront 1943 FloodNZ vs John(txic)
Good day FloodNZ
My computer at work won't let me touch your files. Why not just post them. Certainly would love to read of your trials and terrors of the Ostfront.

Kia Ora FloodNZ
That was a great AAR.
It was very interesting to see how the battle developed for you and to see the lessons you learned.
John is a tough player.
I was going to post and suggest that you join up at the Blitz...I had a look and noticed that you joined up yesterday!
Good one bro...that's the place to PBEM Steel panthers
Good luck...I can see you are going to be another tough Kiwi SP commander.

I'd love to post them but as they are in PDF form with lots of pictures, the average file size in about 5meg which is too big for this site, although I could zip them up....
In fact that is what Ill do...

Excellent, I'll get back to you once I've gone thru it, the Zip was a perfect way around the firewall here at work.

Re: Ostfront 1943 FloodNZ vs John(txic)
Excellent AAR, I've fought on this ground before in a few campaigns against the AI. It is not an easy place to manoeuvre. Sounds like your enemy used his arty in true Red Army fashion. If nothing else your force was likely typical of the time especially the shortage of arty.
I’m curious did you use your 251’s to help fill your MG shortage? As well did you use you MG’s in area fire mode to counter the Russian Infantry?
I really enjoyed your extensive use of labelled screen shots. Looks like a lot of time and effort went into your briefing. Bravo Zulu on a job well done Commander here and on the Field of Battle.

Re: Ostfront 1943 FloodNZ vs John(txic)
I made some big mistakes on that map, the first was trudging across that field with my SS motor co. that was a waste of time and didnt help with assault near those objectives I should have kept them in the trucks and hidden them in the town for about turn 20 when I really need them. I didnt use the MGs on the 251s because I was so scared of Russian artillery, it really is the business!
Thanks for the comments playing another game at the moment of England vs Germany in 44. That probably wont be done in a while though. But the AAR will be in the smame format.
