Re: Chronicles_EA: Second-pass Signup and Discussion
I still have to submit too, and I thought too that we were waiting the upcoming fix...

Re: Chronicles_EA: Second-pass Signup and Discussion
Hopefully the cbm fix wont cause a problem. It does contain a version number as one of its commands.

Re: Chronicles_EA: Second-pass Signup and Discussion
My apologies but I am going to have to pull out of this game. Please have Llama delete my pretender.

A pity. And thank you for discussion, at least.

Re: Chronicles_EA: Second-pass Signup and Discussion
By the way, it seems from the way MA game progresses that it was a good idea to have a placeholder nation to reward for well-written stories - or some other incentive. There are many who don't write after the beginning - particularly a pity in Hoburg case where the prologue was very good...

Why are you leaving, Gandlaf?!
Also, I didn't know that we were getting incentives for good storytelling. I'll be sure to do only my best (and by best I mean write late at night after drinking enough caffeine to poison small children).

We don't. Which seems the problem's root. But feel free to write up nevertheless.

The original Hoburg player in the MA game went awol after playing four or five turns. Several stales later I took over on turn nine, and I don't really know how to use the wiki or anything, so I decided to abstain from posting rp for the player I replaced.

Speaking of the wiki, I can PM the URL to the new page to anyone who needs it.

I don't think we need incentives. This is a game for people which like and enjoy writing stories. The writing is part of the fun of the game, if someone doesn't like to write stories can play another game and freely read what ppl in this game wrote. Simple as that.
Also it would be hard to 1) give ingame incentives (what do we do, we autotax ourselves and send money to the good writer? what's the thematic reason of that?), and 2) decide which writes the best - we all have different tastes regard of writing styles, form, etc. I.e. in the MA game all the stories are good and enjoyable and the ones I personally prefer are of Caelum's and T'ien Ch'i, but other people may prefer different styles and I think it wouldn't be fair to decide on majority
