PBEM campaign end game points
Hi; Playing PBEM Campaign and I was wondering if you don't spend all the points the computer gives you at end game, do they carry over or do they disappear? I spotted a post 'repair points to support points' that might have answered this, but not 100% sure. The manual stated nothing on this either.
Also, if you downgrade a unit do you still pay the full cost of the unit, or do you pay the cost and the extra goes back in your bank. Example: You have 300 support points; you have an M4 worth 75 pts and you downgrade to an M3 worth 40, do you get the 35 pts added back to your overall points so you would have 300-40+35= 295?
Thanks.

Re: PBEM campaign end game points
Repair points carry over from battle to battle, but the maximum that will carry over is 10,000. Repair points can be converted to support points at a rate of 75%, i.e. spending 1,000 repair points will get you 750 support points.
As to the other question, yes. When you delete a unit from your core, you get full points for it, so your calculation is correct. Doing this, you can raise your total repair points over 10,000. Somewhere along the line, you might lose the excess, but I just tested it and it is there at the beginning on the next battle so it can be converted to support points if you choose to do that.

Re: PBEM campaign end game points
Not 100% sure but if you downgrade buy selling & buying a new unit I think you get about 2/3rds of the original units cost back when you "sell it" So would have to downgrade a lot to get some points in the bank..
Unused repair points are carried over, possibly only a % of but think all to game limit.
Support points are not.

I would have thought it would have been something less than 100% also, but I ran a quick test and sold a very experienced FOO worth 105 points and got them all.

We need someone from Shrapnel to confirm this. I know some and maybe all carry over, but there is no way to tell if you lose a percentage when you gain points after the battle. All I am sure of is I have more after the battle than I had before it started.

Unused repair points accumulate to a ceiling amount. If you are at the ceiling and then sell off core you will increase what is in the bank temporarily beyond the ceiling as and until you spend them. It just will not add more above the limit.

I just want to make sure I understand this part. If I have repair points up to the ceiling, 10,000, and sell off 500 points of core, it will stay at 10,500 until I spend the extra points and not at some point automatically readjust back to 10,000?

That is what I just said in the post above. Haven't experimented with it though.

Re: PBEM campaign end game points
Just finished my second battle of a pbem campaign and checked out the downgrading of equipment. When I traded in my Churchill I for an M3 TD I did not get any of the extra points back. My CH 1 has a value of about 120 and the M3 TD 40, but no points came back.
How did you determine that the game is suppose to give the downgraded points back?

Re: PBEM campaign end game points
I am not sure but I think you only get the points back if you sell the unit not if you downgrade it. Never really paid enough attention but if you are playing computer reload & do following.
Sell a formation & buy a new one to see if get points back. I think yes
Also as intreasted but never confirmed.
Obviosly replacing a destroyed unit costs same as
Reparing a damaged unit costs part of points.
Now the question.
If you upgrade a damaged unit I think repairing it first is wasting points as it will still cost the same.
I actually prefer to save my points & upgrade a whole formation at once rather than doing piecemeal.
So if new tanks available I do not buy till I can replace the entire formation rather than having a mix in transition phase.
