Re: Dirty Tricks
...though if I don't have the cloaker and don't have any good weapons, and ripcord is along, hes good to send in. You can put him on a close pass to see if it will go hot. If it does, he can vear off and run. If hes going directly in, it takes him time to get turned around. Better for a moderatly-close pass...

Re: Dirty Tricks
Ya, it happened completely by accident. I was going to use my Terran Fighter to flank it from behind, but my impulse engines were still the ones I had from the beginning and it was taking a while. I got bored and checked AIM. When I got back, I was rewarded with riches beyond my wildest dreams! (And a Skuttlebug)

Re: Dirty Tricks
IIRC you ca also "gong" the hulks while they're still passive and they'll stay stunned while you dock.

Re: Dirty Tricks
Pre-gonging the delrilicts. Never considered that either.
Something I thought of but havent tried yet. If you have a mirror and that fussion bomb (the 5 light year deal), can you dump it at your star, set it for a day or so, then mirror a fleet into position (and you out of it). Or does the bomb come too? I've never tried that one, and am unsure how that would work out (it would suck to mirror them and then have sensors pick up an "object" floating nearby).
I do know that ships who are allied with you will teliport with you.

Once you set the timer, the bomb isn't in your cargo anymore, so I'm pretty sure it won't come with you.

Re: Dirty Tricks
I don't know about that.
I've been in a system with the bird-traders and the astoriod-guys (I had the crystal fish). When I used the mirror, my ship, my allies in my fleet, the traders, and the astoriod all went with me.
I just wonder if that bomb's going to come too.
