Bug: Vanished Marines

During a PBEM turn my invasion force retreated even though I had the advantage i air and surface. Added to this I was punished as my Marines vanished into the Pacific triangle..just gone , not damaged or used in attack...just poof! Anybody else see this happen

As far as I've seen, this always happens. Either your invasion force wins, or it 'disbands'...seems like this was a 'design' decision, but I can't remember any details concerning it.
