Regardless of the outcome thanks for setting it up. This game certainly has exposed me to lots of spells I haven't seen before. That list is likely to grow...

What is the deal with Belphegor, Lord of Hell? Every time my troops killed him, he just exploded and appeared somewhere else on the battlefield at full health.

If he casts phoenix pyre, then he will explode and re-appear everytime he dies as long as he doesn't have more than 100 fatigue. It's a great spell in combination with reinvigoration and lifestealing items.

Yes, Belphegor managed to get Blood Vengence and Pheonix Pyre (and reinvigoration

) off before you paralyzed him. You actually got him down to 10% hp and 100+ fatigue, so one or two more hits would have killed him. But then you routed.

You won the battle of course, as when he became unparalyzed, I hit the turn limit and auto-routed. Running scared of an enemy army that consisted of 2 hibernating bears at 195 fatigue. And he calls himself the lord of hell...
