I actually wasn't able to set them AI, so you should still have control of your nation. Now, all you have to do is get it back from Marignon and Atlantis.

Sorry; I got a new laptop just before a brief trip, and when copying programs over to it Dom3 somehow got overlooked. I plan to play this game through to the end, and won't stale again.
