Default Crashing while changing tiny flags

Howdy! Recently I've been working on a mod but ran into a small issue. In SHPed I open up icon0097, change the tiny flag to a new one, and save it. I boot the game up and it runs fine except it's misaligned, so I go back into SHPed, boot up the ol' SPfix, and align it properly. HOWEVER when I do so and I boot the game back up the tiny flag doesn't load, and worse still when I zoom in the game commits the old crash and burn. Any reason for this? It works fine so long as I don't try to align the flag, but the misalignment hurts my very soul. Example

Open the file with Shpedit

Load an ID flag you have not changed

Click on SP fix

Note the Old and New numbers will ( should ) look like this

Now go to your modified flag

Change the New numbers to the same as the old numbers that are shown here and click on Write.

DO NOT manually adjust the X/Y up/down arrows. All you should need to do is change the New "Bottom" -1 to 23 but I have NO IDEA what else you may have tried to do that might change those numbers

All of this presupposes that you built the new ID tag to the EXACT dimensions as the originals

It worked! My issue was that I was using the up/down and left/right arrows. Doing your method worked fine. Thank you!

It's the gap above the top of the ID tag that's the issue The 23 is the number it needs to know where the bottom is ( but if you check it's actually 24 but that's because SHPedit code uses zero as the first number and zero + 23 = 24)

I hate to resurrect a dead thread, but recently I've been running into a problem with Mobhack. Whenever I boot it up it works fine until I go to load a certain vehicle. As you can see here the graphics for the vehicle are glitched, but they load fine when I boot up the game problem. This wouldn't be a concern, except whenever I switch nations in Mobhack to reference then switch back and load the vehicle back up Mobhack crashes. Is this because I've made the vehicle the full 88 pixels long? Should I shorten it down to 87 pixels?

This isn't a MAJOR problem, just a minor one I have to get-around by rebooting Mobhack each time I click on the vehicle.

Interesting! Is 88x88 still the maximum size for icons, or can I have larger vehicles? As it stands I've had to scale this one down because the game developers that designed it made it freakishly large and I'm trying to stick to scale.

The square you put them in needs to be 89x89 as reported in your drawing program. I've used Paint Shop Pro 7.04 since it was released for everything.

The "confusion" arises because SHPedit reports that as 88x88 I believe due to a "count from 1 vs count from zero" conflict ( in that case SHPedit counts from zero so reports one number less ) but it needs to be 89x89 for the "standard" icon otherwise you get what you got

You can put in larger on map icons but they tend to spill over into adjacent hexes. Most of the larger than 89x89 "canvas" icons are aircraft where that does not matter
