prompted me to try something that surprised me ( YES the game still surprises me )
It IS possible to choose Chechnya after it's end date in both regular battles and scenarios, unlike Nations in SPWW2 and most in MBT which will not allow that beyond their end date. MBT does but ONLY for Chechnya. You cannot extend DDR past Sept 1990 but you can Chechnya
The flag will not be exactly the same as it is now though but it's "close"
Just move the date back until you see the Chechen flag then select it and move the date to where you want it to be

Thinking more this would be useful for scenario creation. Use ID tag #70. Whenever and If ever we release another update it will show the correct flag for the current decade

Here is first Chechen specific vehicle build after 2010. Of course is in some way similar to Russian Typhoon but is especially build for Kadyrov Chechen units and first vehicles were delivered in May to Grozny and they fight in Ukraine now. https://www.armyrecognition.com/defe...d_vehicle.html
Ahmat Z-STS
As for Chechen that is A civil war between them not only with external enemy. Hope that if Chechen OOB will be reactivated will have not only Kadyrov units but also Sheikh Mansur Battalion soldiers who fight on Ukrainian side since 2014 here is recent article about them https://www.npr.org/2022/09/05/11197...ukraine-russia
What moved me most is this
They can't offer howitzers; only themselves, and years of experience fighting Russians"
I just found article about Chechen Kadyrov army which is part of Russian army but have a quite independence and can order their own equipment similarly like Wagner PMC or Rosgvardia here is article and list of Chechen heavy equipment. They use Z-STS Akhmant especially build for them and also Chaborz-M6 indigenous light vehicles. They use also captured Ukrainian vehicles
