Well, this time I have a "
Green Paper" I'm so thankful that Russia has such
overwhelming pride in their Navy. Afterall if not for the Navy, Communist Russia
might never have come into existence. It certainly has been debated on and off since its inception.
So, what has that "
pride" got them? Well with what they've spent on the following I'll suggest it has cost them the finances to fix the problems with the
T-14 ARMATA and Su-57 FALON for starters and around
4 highly modern and battle capable destroyers or since Russia likes their bigger "
show the flag" type ships
2 maybe 3 Cruisers.
I fully agree with this article that the sanctions in place before the invasion and since are having an effect on their military. Some might remember I posted a couple of articles of "
advanced" Russian jets shot down with
store bought compasses mounted in the cockpits you can buy at Walmart at the beginning of the war.
The
Admiral Nakhimov is certainly the "
poster child" for corruption, inefficiency and again pride as displayed also by the
above two other projects as well.
So, I say in the highest tradition of the Navy "
Carry on! ".
I've seen this ship "
somewhere"
and in their prime they were "
Bad Asx" deserving of a cruise missile strike or spread of four Mk 48's
if you can get into range to fire them. But that wouldn't make for a "
fun day" though.
The second picture as you scroll down clearly shows forward of the super structure the various missile tubes it has. That's a "world of hurt" and back in the 80'S she probably carried some to use
our terminology TLAM-N cruise missiles.

Somewhat declassified now I see. Had a couple of guys who were on there but typical for us, they never talked about what and where they were.
As you might notice in the below ref., we all understood this possibility existed another reason we are all
volunteers.
