Re: The Strategy Index
Good news on the bug shortlist: It's going to be a simple find & replace operation to fix it, since the only thing that did not transfer well was the beginning list tag. Those and color tags are just find and replace stuff, but we need a new color scheme so things are visible on this forum. I'll think one up.

That might be because the old forum software just placed HTML in some cases, or similar unusual constructs. Quotes got replaced by a combination of two or three tags which carried the visual representation on screen, for example, instead one sensible tag like the forum does now, which is only replaced in the rendering step of the page.
That you convert all the broken links by hand, yeah, crazy, I wouldn't lift a finger unless it can be done in a unified way with all the links simultaneously. Hopefully searching for text with quotation marks helps you a bit.

Re: The Strategy Index
Yes, I did do everything by hand for the Strategy Index and the FAQ. As I said, I got flaky results with the strings in quotes. The individual shortlist entry links I'm not going to bother with because many of the threads are hard to find. They were not named in the links by thread title, as was the case with the strategy index. The index was important enough to go to the trouble, as was the FAQ. Cleaning up the shortlists will be a piece of cake to do by comparison.

Re: The Strategy Index
Edi asked that I post this link here for possible inclusion in the strat index: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showt...+rulebook+told
Link is to the manual errata thread I posted a while back, should be useful for newer players.

Re: Strategy Index Discussion
Sorry about being such a slowpoke about adding that, but it's there now, Micah. I also added Gregstrom's Beginner's Guyide to Lanka.
Remember people, if something needs to be added to the Strategy Index, post about it here and the mods will see to it.
It may be worth trying if the index fits in one post, so Valerius can once more take the whole thing in hand.

Re: Strategy Index Discussion
After the fifth person labeled my prophet transformation breakdown as helpful, I decided to label the thread as a Guide. Enjoy the hard work of Edi and I.

Re: Strategy Index Discussion
Edi, thanks for keeping the index updated. I'd be happy to take it over again if you think it makes sense.
It looks like the maximum characters per post if 25,000 so if we put all the links in one post we'll be able to add about 50% more links before reaching the character limit. Let me know if you think it worthwhile to do this.

Certainly it's worthwhile. I and all of the other mods would be most grateful to you if you took over it again. I'll go and put everything in the top post again and then let you have a free run of it.
As a suggestion, having the new tags be bolded will make them a bit more visible.

Re: Strategy Index Discussion
Great, thanks! Just added some links Tifone sent over. I'll follow your suggestion of bolding new tags.
