Re: Empires rising MA game for newish players
Earthquakex3 + Foul Vapors = lots of dead thaumaturgs = lots of undead and living statues dissolving without magical leadership.
Actually, the foul vapors was a bit overkill, and didn't last long after the caster died from the earthquake. Oops. Anyhow, now I just have to deal with Ermor's bajillion other troops and all will be well =)

Also, can we change the turn timer to 72 hours? I'll still try to get the turns in in 48, but it would be helpful.

Re: Empires rising MA game for newish players
Hey folks. Due to some personal matters, I am forced to withdraw from all the games I am currently playing. I've chosen to set myself to AI (which I normally hate to do) rather than look for a substitute because I don't want to delay the game any longer than I already have. Thank you for your understanding.

I really think that setting yourself to AI without letting us finding a sub will simply kill this game...

Re: Empires rising MA game for newish players
It has been done already. Unfortunately I cannot now replace him with someone else. Which I guess leaves Ermor, Ulm and AI Pangaea to fight it out.
If people want I am happy enough to see if Llamabeast has the ability to unAI pan and let us find a replacement.

If there is no solution, I guess we will have to give up the game

See if Llama can undo the AI would be the best bet

Re: Empires rising MA game for newish players
Well this sort of stinks. I was really enjoying the battles with you John! You have my best wishes and I hope that everything works out.
Now, I'd prefer to not give up the game, considering how much fun it's been so far. Is there a way for Llama to start the game from the turn before Pan went AI?
If Pan has to stay AI, then I'd happily keep the game going. Hell, I can dispell his nasty globals so that we can commence with the eating. I was only not dispelling them because I figured they were causing Ulm more trouble than myself .

Re: Empires rising MA game for newish players
Well, if you think it will be fun, I agree to continue the game.
But I don't find really fun awakening some morning and realizing your allies, with whom you had a 6 turn NAP, suddenly turn in a bloodthirsty AI who immediately starts to attack you.
Pangea's globals weren't a problem for me until he turned AI and began to attack me.

Re: Empires rising MA game for newish players
You can now roll back the game using a new admin option. So you want to do something like:
- Roll back one turn
- Change e-mail address of johnarryn's nation to the sub's address
- Get sub to send in a turn
- Force hosting
After rolling back, it will look like no-one has sent in a turn, but in fact all your 2h files from last turn will be there and will be used. This is actually handy - none of you should send in a new turn - having seen the future, it would be distinctly dodgy. So you will be able to see that no-one but the new sub sends a new turn in.
I hope that made some sense. It's hard to explain clearly! But anyway, the point is it can all be done.
