I can appreciate being tired in that regard. Just Last weekend I went to Watertown, South Dakota to visit some friends and it is a 13 hour drive from my house to theirs. I think miliage is roughly 700-750. I drove pretty fast needless to say.
Edit: This is post 100 and I didn't even realize it.

Re: Geoschmo has left the building...
Good thing those highways in the States have those bumpy grids on the sides, so if you fall asleep at the wheel and the car starts to swerve to the side, the bumps wake you up. Those things saved us when we drove down to Las Vegas a couple of years ago and we kept falling asleep. I've never seen those bumps on our Canadian highways.

Re: Geoschmo has left the building...
I think it has to do with snowplows and that they'd be ripped up by them during the winter.

We have them on some of the roads in BC.

Re: Geoschmo has left the building...
Keep in mind the only places I've seen the reflector bumps are in states without snow (for the most part), so I'd expect some of the same for places in BC that are fairly wet and not cold during winter.

Re: Geoschmo has left the building...
The rumble strips are all over on the roads we take to the cottage.
I wonder how long before they're patterned so they play out advertisements as you drive...

Re: Geoschmo has left the building...
If we move the party to Fyron's place, be sure to bring my unconscious body along. I'm still passed out on the floor from David's smelly 'evacuation'.
...And bring the red ball too.

* The red ball wizzes through a window and over to Fyron's place.
