Re: DeadlyMedley - running
Judging from his profile I'd say that SR has been on since my PM and hasn't responded, or even returned my read receipt. I'll give him more time, however, because I'm considerate and it's not like we're all waiting for him yet. There are still other players who haven't taken their turns.

Reminder...
All,
Just a reminder if you are the last to submit your turn... give the server 5 minutes to quickhost and then take your next turn. I've been guilty myself a couple times on missing such an opportunity but it certainly helps speed things up.

Greatly enjoying the game. R'yleh is curious on the current global situation(s). Feel free to post or PM if you'd like to chat or trade.

Re: DeadlyMedley - running
Vanheim just staled 3 times in a row. He did that last month as well and then started playing again with no word as to what was going on. If he stales a fourth time I'm going to AI him. He's got 11 stales total with no word as to why.
When I made this game I thought of using the rule "Two consecutive stales and you'll be AI'd." that everyone else seems to use. I decided not to, thinking it was kind of rude. Now I'm thinking they were right on the money. Too many players don't police themselves and the others suffer endless delays as a result.

Re: DeadlyMedley - running
yah, we had bad luck w/ stalers - throws the game off. Not that it has mattered to me - I've now spent 3/4 of the game struggling to keep aby from wiping me out

Re: DeadlyMedley - running
Well, struggle no longer That was a nice tough war of attrition we fought, couldn't kill that damn cyclops off, so close a few times!
With caelum marching in and as of this turn rlyeh attacking I'm pretty much devoid of army and am going AI. Enjoy fighting over the scraps!

Re: DeadlyMedley - running
Dragar - I've never fought a nation that is pretty much a "hard counter" to what i'm playing. I couldn't make any real headway ever against you, and had to settle for a long bitter guerrilla war. You prevailed against me every turn pretty well; but, of course, the end result was Pyrrhic as I dragged you down with me
It was my fault for not understanding how strong the EA aby sacreds were, as I had not encountered them before. In retrospect, I should have offered to split those northern territories, and we could have then expanded in two different directions. I doubt you would have accepted, though.
good fight.

Re: DeadlyMedley - running
Yeah, they're good, probably is run into high prot and fire res and they are useless. My smite trap with all my anointeds was all I could think of, but that damned cyclops got away! I have to thikn of something a bit more diverse next time I play them, hard to think what though..
I was satisfied that in on eo my last turn I managed to bloody caelum a bit at least - took out 5 equipped bane lords and a few eagle kings.

Re: DeadlyMedley - running
that was a stupendous attempt by t'ien ch'i to deny caelum control of my cap, which would have brought tyrant to 6 vp. supid birds siege pretty quick ;p
if there hadn't been a reinforcing army for a second attack, Juffos would have held the day.
Now, if caelum assaults, w/ his handful of eagle kings, and prevails, he should win; depending on whether or not he is losing abysia.
It's like all of Caelum's armies finally decided to show up
