Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
GW, it is not necessary to download (save picture) then re-upload it to shrapnel.
1) Simply take note of the filename when you choose 'save picture as'(ie: 1039607074.gif)
2) Right click on any of my more recent avatars and choose 'Copy shortcut'
3) Past the link in your profile (ie: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/12345678.gif)
4) Change the file name to match the avatar you noted above. (should look something like this.. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newup...039607074.gif)
5) apply the changes and you should have a new avatar.
Simple eh?
Cheers!

Not scared enough! It's a big, bad, nasty world out there... If I come I out, you won't let that big, bad, nasty Baron G. beat up on me again, will you?
(Actually I just want to see my cool avatar again. )

Wait a minute... are you saying...
[loads Avatar Emporium on a new browser and checks the images]
uh... excuse me...
[echo of footsteps away from computer. Next sound heard is the dull thudding of a head against a wall...]

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Grandpa Kim is not a scared turtle, he is a 'lurking turtle'. And I'd be willing to bet he's got a beer in one hand and a mouse in the other, under that shell.

Hey I just found a site that has 10,000+ avatars that should be compatible here. (48x48 size)
Check it out if you like..

Thanks for the hook-up Dave. I'll be keeping Job, but that site has... many things.

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Too bad they aren't all on one page so we can watch them load sequentially for ten minutes on a broadband connection
That's one thing I love about the avatar emporium.
I can take a minute to just watch my computer hum away loading row after row of avatars.
There are so few things that take time on the computer and that you can sit back and watch the progress (not a progress bar)... and they're such nice avatars.
