Re: Timewarp! - Game is live!
Usually this happens during rehost when dom3 uses 2h from wrong turn variant (made for another .trn than the one being used during host).

Re: Timewarp! - Game is live!
Ahhhhh that new patch screwed me up.. I was going to use my size 6 chariots this turn to take out the elephants in a neighboring province since my chariots couldnt be trampled by them... Guess thats out the fricken window now.
Things like that make me wish current games wouldn't be patched while they were already underway as it may foul up an already planned strategy. But I suppose there are times when your happy to see changes from patches in games your playing too... This just isn't one of them...

Re: Timewarp! - Game is live!
Remember, size 6 trampling size 5 will not do much damage due to the small difference in size. I'm sure you'd still do pretty alright like that.
Not patching would seem to be the best way to go (someone was even more dismayed, as they are playing LA R'lyeh in a MP game right now), but that would force everyone to have 2 installations, and switch back and forth to do their turns, and would be a real headache for the Llamaserver (and the Beast behind it).

Re: Timewarp! - Game is live!
Thanks for the info Jim, I had forgoten about the size difference changing the trample effects. All I could remember was that being ethereal made trample pretty ineffective.
By the way, was Independant strength really set to default? seems like everywhere I go I run into Elephants, Knights, Cataphracts etc...

Actually, there are many reports that size difference does not affect damage. I have never been able to prove it one way or the other, despite what the manual says.

Re: Timewarp! - Game is live!
Hey, I've been unable to find out who is LA-Midgard... Does anyone know?
I think the bigger issues are that they fixed issues that were causing game crashing (such as our glory game). Correcting those are probably worth the headache it will cause individual players.

Well, it has seemed to me that when size 4 units get trampled by elephants, they don't really take much damage.
Also, trogs and minotaurs are both size 3, and are far less efficient at killing size 2 units, than elephants are.
And yeah, 3 of my home's neighbors have Heavy Cav. The other 3 were low pop. \ /

Re: Timewarp! - Game is live!
About turn 4. It is quite probable that I staled it (in the rollback and in the first host(I think)). That would be sensible as it seems I have staled turn 5 as well (doesnt look so good to me). I will try to keep up in the future.

'Default' for SAC is MA - that includes site frequency as well

It's appreciated.
On other news, it looks like MA T'ien is gone, since it's looking like he's going to have staled his third turn in a row. Once this turn hosts I will extend it by 24 hours and look for a sub, if I cannot find a sub before the 48 hour mark I will set MA T'ien to ai, afterwards we'll go back to the 24hour hosting interval.
