Re: Ukraine OOB New and Old Toys
Sweden just announced a day or so ago that they're giving Ukraine all of their Pansarbandvagn 302 (pbv 302) APCs.

Re: Ukraine OOB New and Old Toys
It certainly is.
These coop tanks really do need to have a flock of chickens installed, this one had forgotten that little detail, along with the main gun ammo and the filling for its ERA blocks. Then they could provide some useful service, by providing some eggs for the platoon's breakfast...
It may be a Russian attempt to make a British style Boiling Vessel, ie BV or "bivvie"??
And only a T-62 under that lash-up tin shed, I wonder are the models using the old war memorial T-34s coming in perhaps a month or two once they lever those off thier plinths?
Blyat-mobile is apparently a nickname for these things. Most suitable!

Re: Ukraine OOB New and Old Toys
Oh, and chickens do have thier uses in modern warfare, as already proven by us cunning British!

So perhaps adding a few chooks might provide the Russians with some additional electronic warfare potential, by keeping the jammers power supply hot in winter?

Re: Ukraine OOB New and Old Toys
F-16s are now operational and have flown combat missions in Ukraine as of 31 July 2024.
So call them being available August 2024?
Meanwhile, what appears to be a North Korean Bulsae-4 M-2018 Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) ATGM vehicle has appeared near Kharkiv on an Ukranian UAV's cameras.

That said what this means in RL is the Russians now have a missile that does the same job as a hunter-killer drone only a bit quicker and more efficiently than a drone and likely longer range. The downside is the launch vehicle is a bigger target for a hunter-killer drone than a drone launch site would be.........betting these things will become a priority target PDQ

Re: Ukraine OOB New and Old Toys
I just read some article from https://en.defence-ua.com/weapon_and...ine-11351.html and NK has also other version of Bulsae-4 M-2022 installed on small truck 6x6 which rather wasn't sent to Russia.
And since 2016 also Bulsae-4 mounted on Mi-2 helicopters. That is interesting story about Mi-2 in NK. They were imported from Poland in parts and are know locally as Hyŏksin-2. First appears in 1977 in the DPRK unarmed then were fitted with four 4x 9M14 Malyutka (Bulsae-1) 1980-1984 manufactured. Insted of Malyutka they can carry two 57mm UB-16 rocket pods or 4 Malyutka & and two 57mm pods. And now Malyutka were exchanged to Bulsae-4.

Re: Ukraine OOB New and Old Toys
There is nothing in that article besides a vague reference to "TV-guided missile in development" so until better info is found I am not going to build that into the game. Global security has a similar vague reference..
Quote:
"The footage of the missile shows an anti-tank guided missile launched from a Mi-2 helicopter. The footage follows the missile as it arcs upward before moving toward the ground.

That could be anything
