Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Formoria announces the unveiling of its newest branch of the military- the Moosewaffa! airstrikes are now occuring in various parts of the druid lands after word was leaked that they were sacrificing virgins and had enslaved the monkey people.

Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
This is a cry for help. We have been unjustly attacked by Fomoria, whom we name oathbreaker, for they swore a non-aggression pact with the druids and sealed it with their very lifeblood, yet no warning did we have before their monstrous giants dropped out of the sky upon us. All nations with whom Fomoria has also sworn such a sacred oath should consider their words worthless, and their agreements void. Honor is no currency to such as they.
So foul and vicious is this act that even Oceania should consider swearing peace with us, since they will gain almost nothing should our war proceed - Fomoria having already cut them off from most of our lands.
Further, we urge all the lands to attack Fomoria, whose power and prestige is poised to grow without bounds. Would you rather have Marveni with the lands of two nations, or Fomoria with the lands of three and the ability to field awesome Fomorian Kings in battle in addition to whatever they might summon.
(Marveni will clean its own house of the Fomorian menace if given the chance, but we urge Fomoria's other neighbors to make war upon its homelands so that we might breathe if but a moment.)
And the Fomorian propaganda is a lie - no monkeys have been enslaved by the peace-loving druids. We came to the rescue of the monkeys against the vicious Mictlan empire, and the monkeys do now flourish solely because of our actions.

Oceania would love to meet with Marverni's diplomats and discuss terms of resolution for our current conflict. Unfortunately, all our embassies are currently under quarantine, due to multiple outbreaks of leprosy.

Yet another reason to hate druids! they spread lies! the only lifeblood that was spilled was the blood of beautiful virgins in horrid druid temples. Not a drop of formoria blood was spent in contact with the vile druids!
And if people of the world wonder about the justification of our war, see that even after the Moosewaffa has raided many druid lands, they still have the greatest gem income.
No monkeys enslaved they say? anyone with scouts can see that the druids have left the monkey nation no outlet for expansion. they are free, but only as druid underlings.

Fomoria mistakes us for Oceania, who took Kailasa's portal that connected them to the Isle of Eternia and somewhere else far from our shores. Verily, Kailasa had (and has - Oceania) a border with nations besides Marveni.
The druids have also spilt no virgin blood in our temples. Virgin blood was spilt, but only to contain the Mictlan menace, and our actions, while regrettable, were necessary, and that blood was spilt in the lab, not the temples. The virgins came unto our god and prostrated themselves before him, that they might help put an end to one menace. We celebrate their devotion and their sacrifice.
Finally, we most certainly swore to a NAP with the faithless giants of Fomoria in that neutral territory known as IRC. There may have been witnesses, as some business was conducted in public that day, and the lords of Rlyeh and possibly others were present.

Hey, did my Moose Knight die when you watched the battle? He's dead according to the results (probably got hit by a meteor), but when I watch the battle he never dies.

Oops! What the heck happened to Greg? Must've died of Leprosy already.

Didn't get an opportunity to actually watch the combat yet, or even look at the new turn. I'll let you know when i do.

Re: Mooseknight: EA 12-nation game, Running
Your mooseknight survived in my replay too, so no idea.
Marveni is likely doomed at this point. In addition to the merciless raiding by Fomoria, they also succeeded in taking all my retreat routes from that combat, making that loss far more devastating than it should have been.
Well played vfb, I wish it were you benefitting from my likely demise. (Admittedly, if it weren't for Fomoria, I'd have far better prospects to keep fighting. But I can't deal with his raiders and your armies at the same time).
