Re: EA: Vanilla, Newbie game [GOOD AGAIN!]
I'm pretty sure Krec (hinnom) is out of the game he staled at least the last 4 turns without explanation - and also in Multiera Mithril Might he has staled the same amount too http://www.llamaserver.net/doAdminAc...ion=showstales
Theres not much point in getting a sub as he has one province and a small army that I've cornered in it, I was going to let it sit there and have his soldiers desert due to lack of gold (11gp per turn) rather then waste troops but its getting irritating waiting for the same player when everyone else has submitted way before the timer, therefore I am going to end Hinnoms game next turn.
So what I am asking is now that everyone else has submitted can we host the turn now? Rather then wait another 24hrs?

I postponed 24 hrs due to an Internet outage (using my iPhone now). Turns all done but can't connect.

Re: EA: Vanilla, Newbie game [GOOD AGAIN!]
I'm going AI on turn 38, discount on our provinces, everyone welcome ! We've got fresh blood slaves to free (they feel so lonely in their dungeon), tons of gorgeous sites, and great grasslands oozing with cash.
All agreements are of course void, in case anyone wondered !
It was a fun first PBEM experience, but the pace is really too slow for my liking.

Re: EA: Vanilla, Newbie game [GOOD AGAIN!]
don't go AI... look for a sub and play until you can find 1. the pace of this game is pretty normal, no reason to complain about it, but if you prefer fast blitz games than so be it... but don't just turn AI because of "pace" it's very unsportsmanlike, and looking for a sub is the obvious better choice unless you're dying, lost your cap, etc...

Re: EA: Vanilla, Newbie game [GOOD AGAIN!]
Well it is with a heavy heart that I am withdrawing from this contest. Before you raise the general hue and cry I am in a very poor position, with no real chance of winning. I don't think it's really worth finding a sub at this point.
I had every intention of sticking around this fight but unfortunately events conspired against me. My internet access went out for days, and then my right mouse button of my mouse went out. Sounds ridiculous but when you are trying to keep to a turn pace it's an obstacle. I put in a couple of postponements but it wasn't enough. Now I've staled a couple of turns and I think it's time to call it a day.
I very much enjoyed the game, and I intend on seeing you all back out there again soon. As soon as I buy a new damn mouse.
PS my early arco strategy was an abject failure. It was a pure mage based strategy posted by Baalz. I'm sure he can pull it off swimmingly but it was way too advanced for me. It would have been far better to pick a more straightforward strategy and learn from there. Next time!

Are you going to continue as admin? I could take a stab at it. I have no experience, but I suppose you have to start somewhere. If there is anyone more qualified, please speak up.
Thanks for the game, and good luck.

Re: EA: Vanilla, Newbie game [GOOD AGAIN!]
I can't find any reasons to continue the fight myself, the pace is only a factor among many others.
At least I set myself AI, it will give more problem to my opponent than just stalling away !
