Re: Cradle to the Grave--for noobies with a record of no staling--FULL
Well, Agartha made a darned good showing in the battle for his capital, especially given that he was outnumbered about three to one.
In the end, the massed hordes of undead, sacred vestals and legionnaires from Ermor were to much even for the brave Pale Ones of Agartha, but it wasn't for lack of trying or bravery on the part of Zend Kuh's people.

Massed archers are generally considered a far better counter to elephants than infantry as they all get to attack and elephants go down pretty quick with enough set on fire monsters. Armored hopolites on the other hand are almost missile immune thanks to shield + high prot.
Generally I find you want a squad of elephants (maybe a dozen) then the rest it more conventional units. That means the opponents is forced to counter the elephants at the expense of being able to fight your infantry.
Also don't forget the trick of putting hypnatists into elephant squads to boost their morale.
In other news it turns out I have to go away for four days (8th to 12th.) I will take a portable install and will do my best to get turns in but I don't know exactly if/when I will be able to.

Alright guys something big just occured in my life and I wont be able to continue this game. I'm terribly sorry but I've got to drop out as I no-longer have the time (and possibly the ability to access) for the game
I'll try to find a sub as quickly as I can.

Dude, discovering your true sexual orientation is NOT a reason to skip out on Dominions!
Congrats on whatever it is.

Re: Cradle to the Grave--for noobies with a record of no staling--FULL
As the initial intention was to have a game with players with a record of no staling....should a potential sub fullfill this requirement as well? Complicated i know....but for my experience subbed nations tend to be left more frequently (atlantis of Last Rites already has its 3rd or 4th player...)
